Very rich & sculptural large matrix copper with awesome patina from the famous St. Louis Copper Country mine. The copper rests on a brecciated basalt matrix, that is richly covered on the back with sparkly epidote & a bit of malachite inclusions as well. The St. Louis Mine closed in 1913, but the dumps still produce fine specimens periodically. Excellent, rich & classic colorful matrix from the St.Louis Mine with great form & a two-sided presence.
