Ancient Roman Glass upcycled beads with fragment pendant! Handmade in Afghanistan, these flattened rectangular shaped beads are made from very reclaimed old ancient roman glass that were once vessels like perfume bottles, water jugs, plates & cups. Remnants of these vessels have been salvaged & hand-carved into beads. These various vessels of glass were traded eastward along the silk road trade route from Rome to the east & many fragments are found in Afghanistan & the middle east & repurposed into fine glass beads. The bottle in this listing's pictures is an intact ancient roman glass bottle from this period & these beads were made from remnants of bottles just like this.
