This is a very nice GEM micromatic razor in the original case. This was manufactured by the American Safety Razor Co. of Brooklyn, NY. They manufactured three styles of micromatic razors. This one is "The Original" which was produced from 1929 to 1938, roughly. It's in the original brown Bakelite hinged case, which is sturdy & in excellent condition. Opens easily & closes securely. The case measures 3 3/4" x 2" x 1 1/4". There is a blade in the razor & comes complete with 5 unused single edge GEM blades, still wrapped. It's a great set in great condition.
