BERYL var. AQUAMARINE Shigar Valley, Skardu District, Baltistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan This large aquamarine crystal displays an interesting recrystallization which is visible near the top portion of the crystal. When the aquamarine was crystallizing the smaller crystal on top broke & moved sideways then slowly recrystallized. We can see the smaller crystal is displayed hanging halfway out on the side of the larger crystal as a result of this geological phenomena. This formation is not often seen in larger crystals & is rare exception for this aquamarine crystal specimen.
