Sho Kannon, the Mercy Goddess. The Japanese term Kannon 観音 (Chinese = Guānyīn) literally means watchful listening, & is often translated as "one who sees / hears all." He/She accepts all living beings in the challenge & helps to salvation. Painted with ink & pigments on silk. Signed Senshu & sealed. It is in fine condition. The piece is accompanied by an original paulownia wood storage box with the artist's signature.
