Unique Republic of China chess set. Unusual design that resembles both Staunton & Regency patterns. Made in the ROC in the ~1950's. Comes with antiqued slide top box instead of its original cardboard type box. Good vintage condition with some flaking paint & some of the pads have ripples which don't provide the most stable bases. They can easily be pulled off, or replaced with some felt. I can do so upon request. Small chip to one queens crenellations. Sold as is.
