The plate has the title "The ferry Odin Outside Nyborg Harbor." Royal Copenhagen's 1933 Christmas plate depicts the steamship Odin, on its way to Nyborg, a town on the island of Funen. Odin was owned by the Danish State Railways & sailed as a ferry on the Great Belt, between Korsør on Sealand & Nyborg on Funen. The ferry carried, cars, railway cars, & passengers. This piece of Danish history disappeared with the opening of the Bridge over the Great belt in 1998. he plate shows the AS is typical of Royal Copenhagen Annual Christmas plates, it shows the Christmas star. This plate which was only produced in 1933 90 years ago is in excellent vintage condition. It will be a wonderful addition to your collection or your holiday decor.
