Titled: Geese of North Sauty This is the sixth piece in my waterbird series. North Sauty Wildlife Refuge, a 264 acre refuge located just outside of Scottsboro, Alabama. Illustrated in my print are a pair of Canadian Geese & their migratory flock in the background. Also depicted are Sheepnose freshwater mussels, one of 180 species of freshwater mussels in Alabama, the most diverse fauna species in all of North America. Many of our mussel species occurs nowhere else in the world. I loved creating this piece & enjoyed the research into all the aspects I've included in the print. This limited edition piece is hand carved & individually handprinted onto archival BFK French Rives paper using black oil based Cranfield ink. Image size: 12" x 12" Paper size approximately: 14" x 14" Because of the hand printed process, each print may have slight variations making each one a kind & unique. Each print comes titled, numbered & signed in pencil on the front. It comes to you carefully packaged & protected in tissue paper inside a sturdy mailing tube to ensure that it arrives safely.
