Oil painting by Bruce Peil framed in an antique gold frame it is titled "Trail to Miller Lake" which is located Rocky National Forest. Bruce was born & raised in Oklahoma & now resides in Athens, Texas. He is a signature member of the Oil Painters of America & the co-founder of the Outdoor Painters Society. He is also a member of the Oklahoma Society of Impressionists & the American Impressionists Society. His paintings are widely collected, & he is primarily known for his landscapes. This painting did not have a backing on it when we acquired it & you can see the canvas back with Bruce's signature in the photos. We had a backing put on & it re-strung so it would hang properly. The painting is 8 x 10 inches & with the frame it is 11.5 by 13.5 inches & is 1 inch deep. There is not a mat nor glass, & the frame seems to really compliment the painting.
