This is a 1966 self winding 30 jewel Bulova "Commander" men's watch. This exceptional watch is an excellent example of 1960s style & innovation. The extremely high jewel count made for a very reliable timepiece. The stainless steel case paired with a multi-textured dial makes this piece elegant & attractive. The mirror finished edge & cylindrical guilloché center of this dial are absolutely beautiful. The dial shows some marks & patina but is in overall very good original condition. The hands have been freshly re-lumed. This watch is interesting because the case is marked M5 (which stands for 1965) but the movement is marked M6 (1966). The movement is original to the watch, so it is likely that this timepiece was made very early in 1966 using a case manufactured at the end of 1965. The stainless steel 33mm case has seen better days, though luckily that shows mainly on the back. The front of the case presents well on the wrist & the back shows visible pitting. The lugs show pitting on the back & some wear to the inside of the lugs where it appears a metal bracelet rubbed for some time. Fit with a new black suede leather band. The 30 jewel Bulova 10COAC has been serviced & is keeping good time. It comes with a limited 1 year warranty. Warranty information/limitations: -This watch is guaranteed to run accurately (with daily winding) up to +-5 minutes per day for a total of one year from the date of shipment. (Note, this watch is currently running MUCH more accurately than that, however if you keep your watch near magnetic items it may greatly affect the accuracy of the watch if parts become magnetized) -Warranty ONLY covers the mechanical features of this timepiece from normal use. Damage due to mishandling, impacts, liquid, heat, etc will not be covered. If item is sent to be repaired & it is determined to have such damage, the customer will be responsible for return shipping of the timepiece as-is OR can choose to have the timepiece repaired for a fee. -Watch band/crystal/case damage is NOT included in the warranty -Customers will pay all shipping to & from repair, unless repair cannot be completed. If repair is not possible, @wearhasthetimegone will either reimburse the customer in full (for retail price & repair shipping) & retain the timepiece OR will return the timepiece & reimburse shipping ONLY (whichever customer prefers). -Turnaround time for repairs cannot be guaranteed as some replacement parts can be very difficult to acquire.
