Our design: White maple wood with boldly contrasting dark brown or hand-painted black text & graphics Pre-designed title graphics - or describe your own Your lake map is precision laser cut & engraved with an industrial Class IV CO2 laser The design is 2-levels, with a lower blue water level for a two layer dimensional effect Color effects of lighting: We use white maple, & a clear satin finish to protect the wood Because maple is a ligher colored wood it will look whiter in whiter daylight. However, in low lighting the wood will take on more light tan yellow-brown/very faint peach color; particularly in rooms with warm lighting or warm colors reflecting off darker surfaces. It does reflect back the color of the light hitting it. If it is in a shadow or not well lit it will be darker in color. But it will always have some soft tan/yellow-brown/very paint peach tones, minor grain streaks, & coloring. This is a natural high quality wood product, so if you want something white & sterile, look for a white painted product or ask us for a custom order.
