Description
"Sunrise" is an original handprinted linocut print. This piece of art is printed on 11 x 14 in eco-friendly paper & is printed with oil-based ink on acid-free archival paper. The Printmaking Process Each block prints starts with a blank piece of lino or rubber block. I then sketch out my design, refine it, & then transfer that design to the block. Carving tools are then used to carefully carve out the design from the block. Once I am happy with the look, ink is then rolled onto the block & a piece of paper is pressed & rubbed into the ink. It's a time-consuming process, but it's all worth it when that paper is peeled away & the inky black image is revealed. Sunrise Linocut Print | Sun Block
