c1980's British Roadace Replica 1955 Mercedes Benz 300 SLR in Box. Average Woodbase measures 2.25" x 1.25", car approx 1.5 or 35mm long. Selling the Exact carshown, car is perfect, some wear & or adhesive residue to box.Roadace Replicas were made by hand in Mannamead, Plymouth, England in the 1970sto 1990s. Principals were A. K. Dolton & B. E. Dolton. Principal subjects havebeen sports & GT cars, sports racing cars, & Formula 1 racing cars.Models were cast in resin & individually painted by hand, including suchdetails as hood louvers, aperture lines, & spokes on wire wheels. Plastic wasused for flat windscreens & occasionally metal was formed & used for detailslike cycle-type fenders. Most are in a scale of 1/100 though, incredibly, someare even smaller.
