1960s beatnik dress includes a military inspired black knit top & chic tailored skirt. The long sleeve top has brassy heraldry buttons & slant darts with a boxy hem. The A-line skirt is lightweight glen plaid wool with a slim waistband. Skirt is faced to the back in crepe. Ladies' Size 8 to 9 Measurements Top: Bust 40.5, Waist up to 36; Shoulder to Shoulder 16, Sleeve Length 21, Shoulder to Hem 20 Inches Skirt: Waist 29.5, Hip 36.5; Length 21 Inches Era 1960s Label ' Ann Allyn ' with a union label at back neck of top; skirt is handmade and/or extensively altered Materials Solid black wool blend knit, probably wool & acrylic; black & ecru fine quality wool tweed in a plaid check with Glen plaid & other geometric weaves Closure Center back black plastic buttons, neck to hem, on knit top; side seam metal zipper on skirt Condition Excellent Condition Detail Very nice, the top & skirt are not made to match though they pair well & both are 1960s era; the top has pen marks to the label & wear to secondary labels, top has been freshly washed; the skirt has a bit of fray at waistband's top of closure Washing Instructions Dry clean skirt; top may be hand washed in warm water, no agitation Please note: All measurements (bust - waist - hip) are the maximum body measurements that will fit the item.
