An exquisite laser engraving of the "Flamarrion" woodcut. Engraved into 1/4" baltic birch wood. The engraving is hand finished & wax rubbed for a soft touch. The engraving measures 13 5/8 x 11 3/8 x 1/4" thick. This plaque is ready to be displayed on the included easel. The easel comes in two pieces & slides together easily. It's made from 3mm baltic birch, stained black & measures roughly 6"W x 6.5"H when assembled. Please note that our items are made to order so they may arrive with a faint burnt wood fragrance which should dissipate in time. The Flammarion engraving is a wood engraving by an unknown artist, so named because its first documented appearance is in Camille Flammarion's 1888 book L'atmosphère : météorologie populaire ("The Atmosphere: Popular Meteorology").
