Approximately thirty minutes after taking off from Seattle on the next flight, DB Cooper opened the 727 aircraft's aft door, deployed the staircase, & parachuted into the night over southwestern Washington with the loot of money. in the history of commercial aviation, it was the only hijacking that remained unsolved.
