Our handcrafted NANN butcher block cart utilizes locally-sourced, kiln-dried maple to ensure quality & durability. The butcher block top is made with edge grain raw sugar maple beams, approximately 3 inches thick. Sugar maple is renowned for its resilience & tight grain, making it the premier choice. This type of wood is naturally sanitary & features low porosity, allowing you to safely cut & chop directly on your table's surface without worry. The cart's sturdy base is also crafted from sugar maple. The butcher block cart can be painted in any color of your choice (shown here in black & Benjamin Moore's "Cake Batter"). in addition, the NANN cart includes a spacious utensil drawer, designed with a Shaker-style front & accented with a pull in black, although hardware can be personalized. The raw butcher block is meticulously conditioned with beeswax & food-safe mineral oil to preserve its natural beauty & ensure longevity. Completing the cart's design are two solid maple shelves, each finished with a natural hardening oil that not only protects the wood but also enhances its inherent charm. Clients who are not in our white glove delivery region will receive this fully assembled on a freight pallet delivered to your curbside or driveway by appointment. You will need to have help on hand to unpack the pallet & get the island into your home. Freight drivers can not help you unpack or move the island.
