I like to find small old frames & use them to create religious themed little pictures/retablos. Please refer to the last photo to view my private collection of similar items - some of which I have made. This is what appears to be a vintage frame with a silver tone metal top (with glass) & a black velvet back. When I found the frame, the easel on the back was missing - as was the black velvet cover for the oval shaped opening on the back. I had to make one using thick cardboard & covered it with white & black polka dot crafting paper. It is held in place by the original two little pivoting prongs that came with the frame. The little "collage" inside is made from a old holy card that I cut, silver Dresden foil halos, & imported thin Italian tissue paper resembling lace. Because the easel was missing, I added a brass triangular shaped hook using E6000 crafting glue to the back for wall hanging.
