UNIQUE VOLUP New Look era Tailored suit jacket with a nipped-in waist. Woah! I'm selling a few VOLUP jackets for a friendand even though these fit me, I'm being....a good friend I would date this to the late 40searly 50s by the cut, detailing & padded shoulders. The tags read " Sure-sized Original" & "WHITLEYETTE". The jacket is made of a loosely woven woolpossibly a medium weight wool gauze in a light/medium cool gray & properly interfaced to hold this tailored shape. It is fully lined in a gorgeous gray rayon faille. It features a shawl collar & has three diagonal seams accenting the front that each end in rounded tabs that close with diamond-shaped gray MOP buttons. The 8" long fitted peplum is lightly interfaced for that true " nipped-in look". Has the requisite sizable shoulder pads. Issues: There are few holesthe largest on the right shoulder (see photo) . It is tiny & could be repaired. There is a faint pinkish spot near a front button. (see photo) . Jacket was pinned to the size 6 mannequin. I am a size 12 (41" bust) & this fit me nicely. Freshly dry-cleaned, Sturdy with no issues.
