The centerpiece of this necklace pendant is the complete upper plate of a circa 1780 Verge Fusee pocket watch movement - with its ornate hand carved/pierced floral filigree design. The plate is disassembled & each component is painstakingly polished, metallic foil added underneath the filigree parts, re-assembled, crystals added, then coated in a thick layer of epoxy resin. The Pillar Plate, with some remaining components has been cleaned & prepared - along with shortening the Egyptian Pillars, is mounted to the upper plate & adorned with a multi crystal spacer & Ruby & Ruby AB Swarovski crystal rhinestones. The movement is mounted to a 1/16" acrylic disc that has a cut-out for the gold plated bail & a pour of red mica tinted epoxy completely encapsulates the bail, which makes it a permanent part of the pendant - & the larger diameter bail will fit most chains without the need for additional mounting rings. - Available STAINLESS STEEL ROPE CHAIN: Durable & easy to maintain, these necklaces are made from 304 Stainless Steel that hold up well to the rigors of daily use with very little tarnish, & they are a perfect fit for John Galen Necklace Pendants, which come with oversize bails that fit this necklace without the use of an additional ring that can easily break.
