Description
This is a mother/daughter set of two antique Victorian metal picture buttons with metal loop shanks. The buttons feature the design of "Eliezer at the Well", as described in the Big Book of Buttons. The larger button, which is a brass relief design against a black background & surrounded by a steel ring, measures 1 3/8" in diameter. The smaller button, which has the same composition but also has some reddish tint as well, measures 11/16" in diameter. There are some signs of age & wear among the buttons, including some wear in the metal & design, but overall the buttons are in pretty good condition for their age.
