This vintage Chinese wood & brass folding jewelry box is like a little puzzle with drawers coming out of the interior instead of the front. The drawers have no handles but instead there are holes where you can insert your finger to push them out. The top & sides are adorned with brass & inlaid medallions of cloisonne, featuring cranes & deer. The piece is circa 1980s & is in very good condition. Even if you don't use it as a practical piece, definitely display itwould look beautiful in any room. Measures about 3-1/2" tall by 6-1/2" across & about 3-1/2" deep. Weighs about 1.5 pounds unpacked. Brass rivets on the bottom that act as small pedestal feet. Some small scratches on the front of the drawers. Mysterious box, evocative of world travels & a bohemian lifestyle.
