How it's made: This custom handmade pen, like all my other pens, was personally handcrafted by me in my woodshop. These are not mass produced pens & each one is handcrafted by myself so you are getting a craftsman's touch & the love of their craft with each pen. Each pen I craft has subtle differences making it a truly one of a kind pen. First, I carefully segment pieces of wood that compliment each other & will also match the selected pen components. Second, I drill the newly formed wood pen blank to prep it for turning. Third, it is meticulously turned down with my lathe to fit the Atrax pen components taking proper care that it transitions to the pen hardware perfectly. Finally, a gloss finish is applied & the pen is wet polished to a very high gloss. The polish gives the pen a lot of depth & really brings out the figure in the wood. All of my pens have already been produced by me so you know you will be getting the pen pictured in the listing. This eliminates the guess work on how it will look like once made & my pens are ready to ship without long waiting times. About your pen: All of my rollerball style pens come with Schmidt ink refills which in my opinion provides one of the best writing experiences. You will also get your choice of black or blue ink & medium or fine point. All of my rollerball pens will also accept the popular Pilot G2 refill as well. All my pens are refillable & refills can be bought from either myself or stationary box stores.
