Description
This listing is for an Antique French Catholic Medal or Pendant, made of bronze or brass, that has some light surface wear & areas of patina. On one side, it shows a raised image of Saint Peter Fourier, & the name, "B. P. Fourier De Mattaincourt." On the other side, a raised image of a Cross & two Lily flowers, & the French lettering, "Etre Utile A Tous Ne Nutre A Personne." Signed, "C WAAG." This medal was made prior to his canonization in 1897. Good antique condition. Measures just over 1" (26mm) high & 3/4" (19mm) at the widest.
