This Antique Chinawear Pendant was created from an antique 1909 calendar plate that was produced in the USA. Calendar plates were very popular in the period from 1908 to 1912 or 1913. This piece depicts the month of September 1909. Many were given out by businesses to their customers. A loop is soldered to the top that should fit over most chains/neckbands/necklaces. Normally I find the unique antique china items that I utilize for jewelry at antique shows & shops. Each design is cut on a porcelain/tile saw, shaped on a grinder, & finished with a silver solder bezel. We handcraft all our jewelry in Baton Rouge.
