I love this hand cut Campbellite cabochon. It has lots of reds & copper peaking out of the whole surface of the stone. Measuring 8x16mm, it is the perfect length for a ring with a little bit of metalwork around it. love! The stone weighs 7.5 carats. I'm selling a lot of stones my neighbor got in exchange for some work he did. The stones were gathered & cut by a fellow who worked in the Campbell Mine about 2-3 blocks from our neighborhood before 1975 when the mine closed. Today we can't even walk on the property, let alone pick up any stones Enjoy this little piece of Bisbee's history! My neighbor doesn't particularly want to get rich, just wants to be paid for the work he did, so you'll find the prices pretty reasonable. Research shows me Campbellite can contain any of these minerals in varying quantities: Azurite, Calcite, Chrysocolla, Copper, Cuprite, Gibbsite, Malachite, Pyrite, Silver, Tenorite, Quartz As you can imagine, they appear a little bit different in nearly every cabochon!
