Very Rare Vintage Schlage Thumb Latch Door Hardware Backplate only This backplate for a thumb latch door handle features an intricate design of tapering curves & a rough almost hammered like texture & three decorative rivets. The back is marked "Schlage". It has a perfect aged patina. Possibly brass or cast iron, but I'm not completely sure of the metal. Circa 1930's. Has an Arts & Crafts/Gothic Revival feel.. Could be used in restoration or art projects. Please note: The handle, thumb latch & lock are NOT I ncluded. You will only receive the item pictured. Dimensions: 11 1/2 inches tall x 2 7/8 inches wide There are some signs of wear, residual paint, rust & tarnishing but still in very good condition.
