Japanese handmade linocut of the great wave of Kanagawa by Hokusai - Engraved & printed by hand japanese print - japan art - home decor Here is a declination of Hokusai's wave in black & white, in gold on a smooth black sheet. This landscape inspired by my travels in Japan was drawn & engraved on a linoleum plate. I then apply a thin film of ink on this support with a roller & transfer the image on a sheet of paper by applying pressure with a traditional Japanese baren. The entire process of creating our Japanese art prints takes place in our studio, from sketching to inking to engraving. The result is a unique Japanese inspired wall decoration. This linocut could also be a unique handmade gift that will delight all lovers of Japan & nature. The number of prints is limited to 100. Each print is signed & numbered.
