Original henna powder made from finely ground leaves. Originates from the Middle East. Use for dyeing yellows, oranges, & browns or use as the component to reduce an indigo vat. The longer the dye material cooks, the more brown the results will be. Best WOF; 20-50% Or use as a paste in Low Impact Dyeing Henna is Ph sensitive; acidity in the dye bath will shift the color to orange. Active dye components; Lawsone, Luteolin, Tannin. Textiles can be mordanted previously for better results & deeper color, but henna is substantive & will dye without the use of mordants as well.
