This textile is English & was found in an old country estate. It dates from right around 1930-1940~ very difficult to date as it's a woven fabric!~ The fabric is a heavy weight, silk look but I believe it is made of rayon ( rayon was invested in 1846 ) ~ it's a lovely , durable heavy weight fabric! The valance has a tiny cord at the top designed to hang from a ceil de lit or the wooden structure on a 4 posted bed. It's just lovely ~ Multiple panels of this would look so beautiful hung together! ~ Ideal for any period interior. Measurements : This lovely curtain measures approximately 79 inches long by 23 inches wide at the bottom & about 15.5 inches wide at the pleated top. (I have a number of matching panels, to purchase more that one as pictured, simply add this to your cart & change the quantity accordingly ~ CONDITION : This textile is in as found, not freshly cleaned condition. Each of these curtains has discolorations ( please see photographs) When the curtain is gathered, it's very difficult to see, however because of the discoloration I think it's best to use these as curtains rather than pillow making fabric.
