This is a rare, antique (very early 1900s) pennant from the "United States Naval Academy" also known as "Annapolis". I am unable to pinpoint the exact age, but my personal "GUESSTIMATE" would be circa 1920s-1940s. Don't hold me to it however, do your own research. It measures approximately 4 inches wide by 9 inches in length not including the tails. These small size pennants are more desirable than the larger ones & are more difficult to find. It has yellow screen-printing on a deep-blue, wool-felt background which are the school colors. It features a depiction of their highly regarded "Chapel" which was originally built in 1853 with many renovations to follow. Although colors are bright with little fading it is flawed unfortunately including stickum on the back from having been stuck to the wall for a period of time as well as many moth holes evident in the wool felt. Oh well, that's what you get with these rare, antiquities. Don't think you'll find another one like it. Sold "As-Is". I have taken photos of the pennant held up to he light so you can fully see the moth holes, but that is not really how they appear naturally as you can see by the other photos.
