Rather than an image like a photograph, I do more contemporary & abstract style works that reflect human fragility & emotions. ❤️ABOUT FELTING & TECHNIQUES USED in THIS PAINTING: Needle felted merino wool tops with mohair, curly & Alpaca locks, silk, & viscose tops, Harris Tweed & silk chiffon inclusions, hand embroidery, & machine stitching. Needle felting, which is made by fixing each natural wool fiber individually with a special needle, is a very demanding method but the result is worth it. Wool fibers create unusual textures & images. When we reflect on these in the painting, we get a different result from the classical paints which are almost 3D textured visually. Since the beginning of life, natural cellulose fiber & wool have served humanity's spirit as a part of art while also serving to protect itself & survive.
