The studio mixed records for the likes of James Taylor, Barbara Streisand, Carole King, Marvin Gaye, Jackson Browne, & Gloria Gaynor. However, they are best known for their longtime partnership with Stevie Wonder. Wonder recorded his magnum opus, Songs in the Key of Life, at Crystal Studios. Crystal was also known for being innovative & experimenting with their equipment. By the mid 70s, Crystal was home to several uniquely modified & ground-breaking pieces of recording equipment. The studio was also a one-stop shop for artists to have their albums recorded, mixed, & mastered in-house.
