MEASURES Height - approx. 3.5 cm / 1.3 inches Width - approx. 7.5 cm / 2.9 inches IT'S HANDMADE This listing is for a one of a kind ceramic bowl with a handcarved sgraffito lion design on the inside. Design is created with colorful underglazes, using sgraffito technique. This original clay bowl is entirely handbuilt & hand painted using various underglazes & food-safe transparent glaze. At first I built the bowl using fine terracotta clay. Once the softness of the clay had reached 'leather-hard' stage, I applied underglazes & drew as well as carved out the design with folk-style motif & let it dry fully. Next, the decorated piece went into the kiln to be bisque-fired at 1000 degrees Celsius. Then I added transparent glaze, & it went into the kiln again for the second firing. This bowl is very tactile, with carved lines against smooth transparent glazes, which add to it's charm. The bowl is entirely food safe.
