MEASURES: Width: approx. 17 cm / 6.7 inches Length: approx. 20 cm / 7.8 inches Height: approx. 6.5 cm / 2.5 inches IT'S HANDMADE This listing is for one of a kind footed ceramic plate with colorful sgraffito floral & bear design created with cream underglaze, using sgraffito technique. This original footed plate is entirely handbuilt & hand painted using colorful underglazes & food-safe transparent glaze. At first I built the plate using fine terracotta clay. Once the softness of the clay had reached 'leather-hard' stage, I carefully applied the underglaze & painted as well as carved out the design with folk-style motif. Then I let the plate get fully dry. Next, the decorated plate went into the kiln to be bisque-fired at 1000 degrees Celsius. Then I added transparent glaze, & it went into the kiln again for the second firing. This plate is lovely to touch, with carved lines against smooth transparent glaze, adding to it's charm. The footed plate is entirely food safe. It can be put in a dishwasher, but I would recommend washing it by hand.
