MEASURES: Length: 20 cm / 7.8 inches Width: approx. 17.5 cm / 6.89 inches Height: approx. 7 cm / 2.7 inches IT'S HANDMADE This listing is for a one of a kind ceramic footed plate with folk-style pottery inspired bear & floral design on a black background. Design is created with colorful underglazes, using sgraffito technique. This original ceramic object is entirely handbuilt & hand painted using various underglazes & food-safe transparent glaze. At first I built the plate using fine terracotta clay. Once the softness of the clay had reached 'leather-hard' stage, I applied underglazes & drew as well as carved out the design with folk-style motif, & then I let the plate get fully dry. Next, the decorated plate went into the kiln to be bisque-fired at 1000 degrees Celsius. Then I added transparent glaze, & it went into the kiln again for the second firing. This beautiful, one of a kind plate is very tactile, with carved lines against smooth transparent glazes, which add to it's charm. This footed plate is entirely food safe.
