This unique Quartz Crystal is from a recent find in Corinto, Brazil. Formed over the course of millions of years, these crystals are hydrothermally etched, & are referred to as "dissolution" crystals. What this means is that, they form in the ground as crystals & a hydrothermal solution at their source comes through at some point in the later stages of development (in the form of very hot, mineralized water most likely) and, over the course of time, actually pulls molecules away, creating these even more beautiful forms.
