30 American Beautyberry seeds The American beautyberry shrub is native to the southeastern United States, although it has spread to most of the United States. They grow long, arching branches that produce large, light green leaves & beautiful purple berries that each contain 3-4 seeds. The berries are eaten by more than 40 types of songbirds such as the American robin, mockingbird, & cardinal. Raw fresh beautyberries have a very unique flavor that is hard to compare. They're mildly sweet with spicy notes too that can't be found in other fruit. Most use the berries for jams, pies & medicinal remedies. GROWING INSTRUCTIONS Soak in water, let stand in water for 24 hours. Cold stratify for 90 days. Surface sow in a lime free sterile growing medium at 65-75o & keep moist, cover seedbed with some shade. Transplant to their final location once they are well established.
