I bought this with a matching gold mink trimmed jacket & longer skirt as was a set that I was told was custom made for a friend of Frank Sinatra who attended some red carpet event with him at Caesar's Palace. Label reads "Exclusively Fashioned for Lucille L Barone". As I said in that listing, I always take what sellers tell me with a grain of salt but I have bought from her before, & she has never made any claims about things in past so thinking could well be true. When I looked up her name there is a 92 year old woman who lives in NJ that may be her & sounded like someone who may have known Sinatra. Can just see in 50s/60s Hollywood movie. Check out the listing for the coat & long skirt that goes with this. Originally could only afford those pieces but ran across her again & she dropped the price on this so went ahead & got. Not sure of fabric as really kind of looks like gold leather but it reminds me of a silver 60s dress I have listed which is 100% metallic. It has the crinkles & texture of leather but underside doesn't really look like skin, but it is amazing! As you can see the skirt is basically straight & like the longer skirt, it has two large snap like closures at waist so you can cheat a little with waist sizing as long as you wear something over it. Really I am going to just let the pix speak for themselves. Needless to say, the brightness of the gold varies with the light & when the light hits it, it is a bright true gold but only really bright in light. It is fully lined in a gorgeous satin. It is in good vintage condition & just a great fun skirt on its own. You could wear with so many things; if it fit me I would definitely be keeping. Look fab with black or cream sweater & of course with the matching jacket. Definitely great for holidays as you will definitely shine!
