About this Icon: Saint Valentina is known as one of the three virgin martyrs. She preferred to embrace a brutal martyrdom for Christ's sake than to offer sacrifice to the idols. Her martyrdom was very painful she was severely beaten & then beheaded. The memory of Saint Valentina is commemorated on the 14th of February.
