This motif was well loved by ancient Roman & Greek artists, so it was also very beloved by Victorian age (and Austro Hungarian) artists who admired those cultures. What a simple locket, yet, the motif on it was chosen on purpose! 23 mm wide circle. 34 mm with bale Has patina & shine. Has some wear & dings, see photos up close.
