Description

Gomphrena-Rose (Gomphrena globosa 'Rose' also called Globe Amaranth, is a great annual for summer color. It thrives in full sunlight, is drought tolerant & easy to grow. Butterflies & other small pollinators are drawn to these tiny flowers. Flowers are often dried at the end of the summer & used in dried arrangements because the flowers retain their good color. Snip the stems & hang a bunch upside-down in a cool dry place for a few weeks, then display as part of a dried flower arrangement. Gomphrena can also be grown in containers. Sow seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Soaking the seeds for a day or two before planting will speed germination. Seedlings will emerge on average after 7-14 days, although using a heat mat will speed germination. Plant outside (after hardening off) about 8″ apart after all danger of frost has passed. Direct outdoor seeding is not recommended unless you're in growing zone 9 or above. Keep seed moist until germination. Deer Resistant Drought Tolerant Season: Annual USDA Zones: 3 - 10 Height: 24 inches Bloom Season: Summer Plant Spacing: 12 - 18 inches Gomphrena-Rose | Gomphrena Globosa "Rose' Packet Of 25 Seeds With Free Shipping
