Butter Dish with Lid / Butter or Cheese Dome - Wood Fired Stoneware Pottery - Oribe Light My work is stoneware pottery, wheel thrown or slab rolled, with handmade additions then fired to 2300 degrees in our wood fired kiln over a 36 hour period. The intent of my work is to be used & enjoyed daily by bringing beautiful colors, strong form, & function to people's lives. Each piece bears the markings of the artistry of the wood firing process. Areas of high gloss, matte sheen, sometimes a metallic sparkle, small flecks, etc. are all hallmarks of a woodfired piece. That is the beauty of these handmade functional works of art. READY TO SHIP Each piece is a handcrafted one-of-a-kind piece created individually & in small batches. My pictures are a representation of the completed pottery.
