This Clear or Clear Tinted mold measures about 3 11/16" in diameter with the image area measuring about 3" in diameter. At its deepest it is about 1/4" deep. The image features a Santa (from the late 1800's or early 1900's) on his way to deliver gifts. He's carrying a toy truck by hand for some lucky child. The toy truck looks similar to the actual first motorized truck, which was built in 1896 by the German automotive pioneer Gottlieb Daimler. He also has other toys in his sack for the good children, switches in his pocket for the bad ones, & is carrying a Christmas tree across his shoulder. All the details in this mold are good, but especially so in his expressive face, mustache, & beard. It's easy to see that the carver was a master craftsman! There are 3 parts to the border. The first one (inner) is reminiscent of a fleur-de-lis, the second one is a plain thin channel & the last one (outer) is an unusual design that is as deep as the deepest part of the center image. The outer image does a wonderful job of framing all of the mold design together. This is a unique & beautiful mold & can be used for making muffin toppers, cup cake toppers, cookies, confections & art work. It has a groove around its side to assist in lifting after pressing.
