Vintage Shoulder Bag with Trim & Rick Rack from Guatemala - 1970s in very good condition with some imperfections to the wool. These small areas were present when I purchased the bag - you can see where the fibers are missing or worn. The fabric has a rustic natural look. I've carried the bag a few times with a matching jacket & always get compliments. Preowned. The bag has a zippered pocket that divides the interior into two sections but it is not very usable or sturdy - it's made of the lining material with no padding or stiffening. The edge panel of the bag is not lined as can be seen in the photo. Measurements: as seen in the photos / lightly stuffed with tissue Height: approximately 8.25 inches Width across top opening : 11.25 inches Base: approximately 10 inches wide where the curve begins / 1.75 inches from edge to edge Strap: 38 5/8 inches (sewn into place) check measurements if you want to wear as a crossbody bag Tags/marks/id: none I believe the wool or wool blend bag has been hand-loomed, hand-woven similar to the iconic jackets & ponchos from Guatemala. Cotton flat piping outlines the beige / eggshell bag. Tiny, black, ric rac adds the design. Fully lined in black satiny fabric with padding to give the bag a soft shape. The padding feels like soft foam sheets. The bag has a rustic hand made feel to it & is not industrially manufactured perfect. To ensure a great fit with vintage clothing & accessories, I recommend comparing measurements to to similar item that you own & love. Vintage proportions will vary through the decades.
