Chest 20 in. Length 27 in. Tag Says: Hanes, large, 100% cotton This shirt is an original promotional tee advertising Martin Scorsese's 1978 film, The Last Waltz. Considered one of the greatest documentary concert films ever made, the movie depicts a farewell concert from the beloved Canadian-American rock band, The Band. The influential group was known for hits like "The Weight" "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down", & "Up on Cripple Creek", but in the mid 70s they decided to retire from touring. Their farewell concert was dubbed the Last Waltz, & it took place on Thanksgiving 1976 at the Winterland Ballroom, the same venue they had made their debut as a group in 1969. The Last Waltz wasn't just a concert, it was a celebration, paying tribute to The Band's many live performances. An audience of 5,000 joined The Band for a turkey dinner & a night of performances from a list of special guests who influenced the band over the years. The Band performed alongside Ronnie Hawkins & Bob Dylan, who were both integral to the formation of the group, as well as Van Morrison, Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Dr. John, Muddy Waters, Ron Wood, Neil Diamond, Bobby Charles, & Paul Butterfield. Comments: Fits like a modern unisex adult large. Some light spots & a repair on the back right shoulder if wearing, see pics. 22-10-116219 70S The Last Waltz Farwell Performance Of The Band Martin Scorsese Movie Rock N Roll Film T-Shirt Large
