This is another 20s dress from my personal collection I have held onto as still fits although a tad snug to get on over my shoulders. However, I simply don't wear this type of vintage anymore so time to pass on. It is really beautiful & the tailoring as always is to die for. Zoom in to appreciate all the detail work although since black never photographs well kind of hard to see. I always loved the ecru silk insert with the dark sky blue piping. The blue & gold label reads "crepe de Oriental" (early crepe de chine which actually originated in China I believe) & below it "Appl'd for Reg" so this is definitely a very high quality silk which is not real thin which is probably why it has held up so well. Pix really do a good job of showing it off, even if black. It is in very good vintage condition except for a little staining on insert & some tiny holes which you can see in the pix. When held up to light there are a couple of pinholes. The pale stains may soak out. Generous size. Great for evening wear, costume, stage, theater, film, reenactments, photography work & display.
