Up for consideration is a fine old Antique Oil Painting by renowned Porcelain decorator Mary E. "Patsy" Newhouse of Grand Rapids Michigan. This wonderful antique landscape is a snowy scene showing probably a local view of trees snow & a water system. Patsy operated an Art studio in Grand Rapids & was noted for taking in blanks from porcelain factories of which local artists & or companies could then decorate to local tastes & styles. Pretty crafty idea. I think this was popular from about the turn of the century up until the 50's or so. No visible repairs. It is signed in the lower right "Patsy Newshouse". There was a real craze for hand painted porcelains by local artists. Especially Limoges. Well you don't really see these sort of works of art around that much & probably has significance for a collector or local museums.
