Description
This is a small, antiqued gold, vintage glass topped & gold filigree box with added antiqued brass skull. The box's sides are gold, open work Victorian style flower & scroll design in the Hollywood Regency style. The hinged top is beveled glass held by tiny, detailed hounds tooth brackets. The sides of the box are 3.25 inches & is 3 inches high including the four .5 inch, detailed feet it sits on. It is perfect for on top of a vanity or chest of drawers & could possibly hold jewelry since its bottom is red colored velvet. The added contemporary skull is stamped, antiqued gold brass & measures 1.25 inches. The original vanity box is circa 1950. This type of gold plated accessory was popular in the 50's. It was made to last since it was plated multiple times with 24K gold so as never to tarnish. This item is sent via US postal service with insurance. International rate is $34.
