Here we have two pairs of miniature shoesone closed-toe & one a sandalmade of wood & genuine leather in Portugal. Portugal is known for its miniature ceramic shoes, but these leather ones are truly hard to find, one might even say RARE! They would have been little tourist gifts or souvenirs, circa 1960s, & they are in great condition having been stored all this time. Even though they would have been purchased for a child, perhaps, back in the day, today these are really not for children. Use to complement a collection of miniatures or give as a White Elephant gift to the person who is the shoe fashionista in your life. Or perhaps you know of a person who does shoe repair or even is still in the old-fashioned career of being a cobbler? in that case, you couldn't come up with a better ornament for the Christmas tree! These are different sizes but each about 4" long. Again, these are MINIATURES! Great souvenir piece from the days of exotic trips.
